»Frequent operation is the most important, but I also really like the idea of an app with a schedule and "how do I get there?" utility
»I would prefer to have this type of venue placed in the Downtown area as it is already a bar scene with all the associated problems and a police presence. We don't need another club scene area adjacent to the campus.
»I think this is a nifty idea. When I was in Citrus College, they would have shuttles (ones that looked like Dial-A-Rides/City Transit) just taking students from parking lots to campus and back. So I think if the shuttles are like those, it would encourage public transport. There's a lot of students I know who don't drive and could use this (myself included).
»Streetcars are costly to build, maintain, and require a large maintenance facility connected by tracks and have limited flexibility due to fixed track structure. Shuttles are flexible and can be cost effective if ridership is high enough.
»Coffee shops and lounges with a good ambiance for studying. They would be open late into the night on midterms and finals weeks.
»You need trees there for shade outside sometimes it just gets too hot there in Fullerton at certain times of the year with maybe even outdoor bench's and tables and chairs.Thank you.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A CAL STATE FULLERTON SPORTS MEMORIBILIA SPORTS BAR AND RESTAURANT WITH ALL KINDS OF PHOTOS AND MEMORIBILIA OF CSUF COLLEGIATE ATHLETES WHO PLAYED DIFFERENT SPORTS SINCE DAY ONE AT CAL STATE FULLERTON WITH A RESTAURANT WHERE FORMER CSUF ATHLETES COULD COME AND REMEMBER THERE DAYS AT THE COLLEGE AND SEEING CAL STATE FULLERTON TELEVISED ATHLETIC EVENTS AND COLLEGE AND PRO SPORTS ON BIG SCREENS AND BEING AT THE UNIVERSITY A UNIQUE COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE.THANK YOU!

»I really like this idea. I think one of the most iconic entrance gates belongs to UC Berkeley - The Sather Gate. Many universities have some kind of prominent entrance feature that designates the university community.
»Norm, I agree with you that an events center/arena could be the centerpiece to the entire College Town experience. It could be built in CSUF's College Park parking lot (south of the College Park building at Nutwood and Commonwealth.) The university and fullerton community would benefit year-round with a facility of this nature. Basketball games, concerts, commencement, etc....the list seems endless. Gate revenue would help pay for the facility and more people visiting college town would bring more tax revenue to the community at large. Its a win-win.
»A 5000 plus seat Student Events Center is still the engine that could drive all this when you look at what can be brought in Concerts,Faith Based Events,Cal State Fullerton Athletic Events as well as other types of Athletic Events.ASI could hold weekly events like Job Fairs,Exhibitions,Dances and Rally's as well as other kinds of meetings for the students.College Town will be funded in a large part by the Retail and Entertainment companies that will move in and an Events Center would bring in 3000 to 5000 customers before and after each event for them on a regular basis.
